Eilif Møller -
A multi-artist

With this book I will introduce you to the life and work of one of the most talented, most versatile, decorative and creative artists, sculptor, ceramicist, plasterer and decorative painter (b. 1885-d.1931).

He had his large and productive field of activity both in the public and in the private space around Denmark and abroad in an art period that we in Denmark call SKØNVIRKE (1900-30).

EILIF MØLLER dreamed, like all other creative people, of living out her artistic ambitions and being recognized for her work.

EILIF MØLLER made unique ceramic works with ornaments full of movement, often without motif, but with improvisations like THORVALD BINDESBØLL and was clearly very inspired by him.

IN MUNCH and in VIENNA he had a TERRAKOTTA factory and he was artistic director of the ceramics factory Møller og Bøgely.

EILIF MØLLER decorated walls and ceilings with beautiful colored decorations inspired by the classics of the European antiquity and renaissance and especially the oriental from JAPAN and CHINA.

It was probably from the Englishman WILLIAM MORRIS (b.1834-d.1896), he took his first great inspiration from, especially from his fantastic patterns on the wallpaper with wild flowers, lush fruit knots / stands, birds

and animals, how much can be recognized in EILIF MØLLER'S OWN DECORATIVE UNIVERSE.

EILIF MØLLER also did decorative STUKARBEJDE and other exciting decorating tasks in many CINEMAS, CHURCHES, at RESTAURANTS and at HOSPITALS.

He also drafted and decorated FURNITURE, LAMPS, STOVE SCREENS, STOVES, STOVES, CURTAINS, WALLPAPERS and more.

This 350-page BOOK, filled with his creative works, gives you the opportunity to gain a unique insight into his dramatic life and work.
